Just in case, you couldnt update newer version from your player (software option), then uninstall previous version from control panel and download new setup link given in word file, then restart your laptop, then disable your antivirus or window defender, then re-install the set up and your problem will be reolved. please see below few guide lines on same. Go through all 3 files for your reference. 
Please make sure that your antivirus or window defender is disable during new updates or re-installation.
